Genie Faulkner is a life long resident of Louisburg and attended Louisburg Elementary School, Gold Sand Middle School, and graduated from Louisburg High School. She earned a Bachelors of Arts in Physical Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, a Master's Degree in Physical Education from North Carolina Central University, and a Master of School Administration from North Carolina State University. This will be the 31st year she has served the Laurel Mill Community as a physical education teacher, assistant principal, and principal. She loves spending time with her family and friends, being at the beach and running. Laurel Mill holds a special place in her heart. She is married and has two sons, Riggan who lives in New Bern and John Allen who is in college in Wilmington.

Dakisha Perry is a Franklin County native and graduate of Bunn High School. She has one daughter and loves the outdoors and animals. Her educational philosophy is quite simple, "All students can learn when provided the appropriate enviroment and instruction." She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from North Carolina Central University, is licensed K-6, and holds a Master of School Administration Degree from North Carolina State Univeristy. Throughout her career she has served neighboring counties in which she has been recognized as Teacher of the Year, Employee of the Month, as well as honored as one of NCCU's Distinguished Graduates. This is Ms. Perry's 19th year in the field of education and her ffith year serving our LMES students, staff, and community.
