BS Elementary Education, State University of NY @ Cortland
Master's of School Administration, East Carolina University
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from SUNY Cortland and have had the privilege of teaching in New York, Delaware, Texas, Pennsylvania, and now North Carolina. For the past 18 years, I have served in Wake County elementary schools as a classroom teacher, Intervention Teacher, Literacy Coach, and Instructional Facilitator. Since the fall of 2021, I have been honored to serve as an administrator with Franklin County Schools.
My passion for working alongside families and teachers grew during my time as an Instructional Facilitator, inspiring me to pursue my Master of School Administration at East Carolina University.
Outside of school, I am a wife and mother. My son lives in western North Carolina and works in the hospitality industry, while my daughter has just begun her college journey at High Point University. At home, I enjoy reading, spending quiet time with family, and experimenting in the kitchen—I love a great meal, even if I don’t always love the cooking! Life stays full and lively thanks to both my children and our two dogs.
I am truly thrilled to serve as Principal of Laurel Mill Elementary. Laurel Mill is a vibrant, welcoming community, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such dedicated staff, students, and families.
