Principal

I graduated with my Bachelor of Science from SUNY Cortland with a degree in Elementary Education. I have taught various elementary grades in New York, Delaware, Texas, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.  I have worked at elementary schools in Wake County for 18 years.  I  served as a fourth-grade teacher, an Intervention Teacher, a Literacy Coach, and an Instructional Facilitator.  I have been an administrator for Franklin County Schools for the last three and a half years.

I found my passion for working with families and teachers while serving as an Instructional Facilitator. I returned to school to earn my Master of School Administration at East Carolina University.

I am also a wife and a mother.  My son lives in Western North Carolina and works in the hospitality industry.  My daughter is starting her journey in higher education at High Point University.  I am an avid reader and enjoy quiet time at home with my family.  I also enjoy time in my kitchen because I love a good meal, not because I enjoy cooking!  Both my dogs and my kids keep life busy and exciting.

I am thrilled to be serving as the Principal of Laurel Mill Elementary. It is truly a vibrant and engaging learning community!
